This map was for a presentation on the Trinity River COMMON VISION Corridor Development Certificate (CDC) program. The certificate program seeks to stabilize flood risks along the Trinity River by making cities more accountable to surrounding cities in the Trinity floodplain. While local governments have control over development, the CDC process encourages Trinity cities to review and comment on development proposals in the floodplain. I and other NCTCOG staff are also working with FEMA as the holder of floodplain data and distributor of maps and GIS files as they are requested in the region.
