This map was part of a graduate-level university report on the impact of Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) stations on surrounding property values. The purpose of the study was to compare DART stations and their land uses to similar (accessible) control sites around Dallas to determine whether DART is influencing property values over time. The property value changes from 2000 to 2006 indicated varying results by land use. For instance, industrial and single family showed marginal property value differences between sites, while office and retail had significantly higher property values near DART stations.
