Greenprinting uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to model priority preservation areas which are determined by participants at Vision North Texas Subregional Workshops. The partnership between NCTCOG and the Trust for Public Land will involve identifying community values, collecting data, building the GIS model, and acquiring funding for cities and counties to preserve high priority areas. At this point, I have been involved in workshops, committee meetings and presentations, the lead on data collection, and responsible for creating documents for describing and inventorying greenprinting progress.
